CERTIFICATE AWARDING CEREMONY NON COMMISSIONED OFFICERS’ MANAGEMENT COURSES
The certificate awarding ceremony of No. 12 English Medium and No. 83 Sinhala Medium Non Commissioned Officers’ Management Courses were held at the Astra Hall, SLAF Academy China Bay today (11 December 2020). Air Vice Marshal RS Biyanwila, the Director Administration graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest.
The primary objective of conducting these courses are to transfer a sound academic and managerial knowledge, while sharpening leadership qualities within the Non Commissioned Officers of the Air Force. The course was conducted based on a well-formed syllabus over a scheduled period of 14 weeks. Both courses were affiliated to the University of Rajarata and all Non Commissioned Officers who fulfilled the required criteria were awarded with a Certificate in Management. The No. 12 English Medium and No. 83 Sinhala Medium batches comprised of 53 Senior Non Commissioned Officers and 74 Junior Non Commissioned Officers. At the Ceremony 127 awardees received certificates to mark the successful completion of the courses.
Sergeant Herath HMSB (Operations Air) has secured the first place in the order of merit with an outstanding average of 79.24 (Senior Non Commissioned Officer Rank Category) while Corporal Perera SBS (Pharmacists) secured the first place in the order of merit with an outstanding average of 89.31 (Junior Non Commissioned Officer Rank Category) at No. 12 English Medium Non Commissioned Officers’ Management Course.
Sergeant Rathnakumara KRAT (Accounts Assistant) secured the first place in the order of merit with an outstanding average of 77.17 (Senior Non Commissioned Officer Rank Category) while Corporal Sadaruwan WMLB (Dental Technician) secured the first place in the order of merit with an outstanding average of 82.36 (Junior Non Commissioned Officer Rank Category) at No. 83 Sinhala Medium Non Commissioned Officers’ Management Course.
