Operational Performance Development Module for Administrative Regiment Officers
The First Operational Performance Development Module for the year 2014 for ten (10) Administrative Regiment Officers was conducted at the Sri Lanka Air Force Combat Training School Diyatalawa under the aegis of the Commanding Officer Group Captain WWPD Fernando from 17th to 21st February 2013 in order to enhance their analytical and operational briefing capabilities to perform operational staff duties effectively.

The course was conducted through the exercise “Green Rock Apes” (Designed with a given narrative); the participants were also involved in TEWT (Tactical Exercise Without Troops) and trained on Operational Planning, Troop Leading Procedure, Military Map Marking, Leadership, Analytical Thinking Combined with a series of Model Briefings.

The course consisted of lectures, a series of briefings and exercises and was conducted under the leadership of the Commanding Officer of the School, Group Captain WWPD Fernando together with Officer Commanding Training Wing Commander GPNC Piyasena and Chief Instructor Officer Training Squadron Leader RAC Ranasinghe according to the directives given by the Director Operations Air Vice Marshal GP Bulathsinhala.

All officers who attended the course had the opportunity of taking part in a practice dining in with the Commanding Officer and the Course officers.
