Annual AOC's Inspection 0f SLAF CTS Diyatalawa and SLAF Piduruthalagala
The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke conducted the Annual Inspection of SLAF Combat Training School Diyatalawa and SLAF Station Piduruthalagala on 17th October 2014 .
The Commander, upon arrival for the inspection reviewed the AOC’s parade commanded by the the Commanding Officer SLAF Diyatalawa, Air Commodore DJC Weerakoon and awarded Certificates of Commendation during the parade to 024603 LAC Suranga KBW (carpenter) for his meritorious contribution to the station in particular and to the Air Force in general.
During the course of the inspections the Commander visited all areas of the Station .Concluding the inspection, the Commander addressed all ranks including the civilian personnel at Station main assembly hall and commended the work of the Commanding Officer and the Staff in maintaining the Station at a high standard and emphasized the need to contribute their best to the Air Force at all times.
At SLAF Station Piduruthalagala, Commanding Officer Wing Commander JMCR Jayasundara received the Commander on his arrival and a Street Lining commanded by Flt Lt JV Anura was accorded to the Commander.
During the visit, the Commander declared open the newly constructed Officers’ Mess of the Station. The Commander concluded the inspection by addressing all ranks of SLAF Station Piduruthalagala.
