Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force Visits Pakistan

Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama, is currently on a 6-day official visit to Pakistan along with a senior SLAF delegation on the invitation of Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman, Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force.

The Commander visited PAF Headquarters in Islamabad on Monday, February20, 2012 and was received by the Pakistani Air Chief. The Commander was accorded a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned out contingent of PAF and thereafter, he called on Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman for a discussion on matters of mutual interest. The two Air Chiefs exchanged mementos to mark this momentous occasion.

During the visit, the Air Chief also paid a courtesy call on Pakistani Army Chief, General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani NI (M), HI, on Monday, February 20, 2012 at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi. After exchanging views on matters of mutual interest, the two leaders exchanged mementos to mark this momentous occasion.

The Commander paid a courtesy call on the Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Defence, Ch. Ahmad Mukhtar on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 in his office in Rawalpindi. After exchanging views on matters of mutual interest, the two leaders exchanged mementos to mark this momentous occasion.
