An over night Pirith Chanting Ceremony was held at SLAF Unit Katukurunda, to invoke blessing on the Sri Lanka Air Force and SLAF Unit Katukurunda. The Pirith Chanting Ceremony commenced with a colourful Perehara and concluded with an alms giving on the following morning.

The first Commanding Officer of SLAF Unit Katukurunda Flt Lt  S Edissooriya  and  former Commanding Officers attended the religion ceremony.

All personnel including civilians of the unit extended their fullest support and contributed voluntarily to make this event a success.
