The closing address ceremony of Fire Fighter Advanced Trade Training Course was held on 18 April 2012 at TTS Auditorium with the participation of Commanding Officer Group Captain LD Gunawardena and Officer Commanding Training Wing Commander CJ Hettiarachchi. Group Captain PMCP Dias, The Chief Fire Officer graced the occasion as the Chief Guest on behalf of the Director Air Operations.

The Fire Fighter Advanced Trade Training Course was commenced on 10 January 2011 and terminated on 18 April 2012. A total of 30 Airmen passed out as competent Fire Fighters on this occasion and they underwent both theory and practical training during the course.


The Shield for the best airman of the course was awarded to 30195 Cpl Wijerathne RED for his exceptional performance
