The closing address and awards ceremony of No.149 Airmen & No.22 Airwomen intake 01/2011, Aero Engine Basic Course was held on 29 Sep 2012 at TTS Auditorium. Group Captain P Ranasinghe, Commanding Officer TTS Ekala graced the ceremony as Chief Guest and the acting Officer Commanding Training, Squadron Leader WUS De Silva was also present.

The Aero Engine basic course commenced on 02 Aug 2011 and terminated on 29 Sep 2012. A total of 19 Airmen & Airwomen passed out as Aero Engine Technicians on this occasion and they underwent both theory and practical training during the course.

The Shield for the best Aero Engine Technician of the course was awarded to 41704 AC Rajapaksha MU for his exceptional performance.
