Sri Lanka Air Force Base Anuradhapura celebrated its 30th Formation Day on 09th November 2012.

As part of the Formation Day a shramadana campaign was carried out to clean the Cancer centre at Kawarakkulama, Ghanikkulama and Palidikulama tanks and drainage systems of the Nuwara wewa. A Tree Planting Programme was also held on 8th November 2012 at the Base premises.

A parade was also held at the Base and it was reviewed by the Acting Base Commander Wing Commander HU Wijeweera on 9th November 2012. This was followed by a Elle tournament and all ranks lunch.
