The Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal HD Abeywickrama was part of the history making Burdett Trophy winning Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC) team. The Burdett Trophy is a prestigious event played between the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) and the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC) and this year’s event was the 108th encounter between these two great clubs. NEGC won this encounter after nearly a decade and the awards ceremony of this event was held recently at the RCGC.
