The Command Welfare Shop was officially inaugurated this afternoon (20 November 2009) by the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) at the SLAF Colombo premises, further re-iterating the commitment of the SLAF towards the welfare of its personnel.

This concept was initiated by the Commander of The Air Force and will be operated through three main hubs, namely SLAF Base Katunayake, SLAF Sigiriya and SLAF Colombo. Consumer commodities will be gathered together through these hubs from across the Island and distributed to all SLAF establishments at very nominal rates.
