The closing address of 152 airmen and No 24 Airwomen 01/2013 Telephone Operator Basic Course was held 12th June 2013 at SLAF TTS Auditorium under the patronage of Group Captain P Ranasinghe and Officer Commanding Training Wing Commander CJ Hettiarachchi . Commanding Officer Radar Maintenance Wing SLAF Katunayaka , Group Captain  JP Balasooriya participated in the event as the Chief  Guest.

 The Telephone Operator Basic Course commenced on 31st December 2012 and ended on 12th June 2013. A total of 12 Airmen and 11 Airwomen who underwent both theoretical and practical training during the course passed out.

The Shield for the best airmen of the Telephone operator Basic Course was awarded to AW3399 AC Kumarihami DKOC for his exceptional performance.
