Graduates who were appointed as the Agrarian Development Officers of the Department of Agrarian Service successfully completed their two week residential Leadership and Skill Development Training, under the direction of the Ministry of Economic Development in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense at SLAF Diyatalawa from 22^nd to 06^th July 2013.

Trainees were entrusted to usher through improving their character and positive attitude, bestowing their energy, bearing exemplary characters as government officers, and to give their best when serving the motherland. Practical and theoretical aspects of Leadership, Conflict Management, Social Values, Customs and Etiquettes were taught during the short tenure of their training.

The drill display was performed by the trainees was one of the spectacular events proved “nothing is impossible”. It was trained by 16355 Sergeant Wijeratne PD, 31415 Sergeant Kumarasinghe LRTK, 17923 Sergeant Silva LJ and 18569 Sergeant Senakabandara WMG together with Squadron Drill Instructors in a short period of time.

The course participants demonstrated their talents through a variety entertainment programme at the end of the course. Mrs. Buddhika Lokubalasuriya Assistant Director Ministry of Economic Development and Mr. Ajith Chandrasiri Assistant Director Planning and Implementation from the District Secretariat, Badulla were also present at the occasion.

Training programme was coordinated by Squadron Leader Ajith Jayakody under the supervision of the Officer Commanding Training Wing Commander SPVK Senadheera.
