One Millionth visitor to SLAF Museum

The SLAF Museum at Ratmalana sold its One Millionth ticket this evening (10 August 2013) to Mrs.SJ Nadeeka of Pollonnaruwa. To mark this milestone the one millionth visitor was presented a memento by the Commanding Officer of the Sri Lanka Air Force Museum, Wing Commander CB Liyanage this evening.
 
The SLAF museum was established in 1993 as the Aircraft Preservation and Storage Unit at the Air Force Base Ratmalana with the intention of preserving history of aviation in Sri Lanka and the history of the Sri Lanka Air Force. In 2009 it was modernized and renamed as the Sri Lanka Air Force Museum. It is the only museum dedicated to aviation and the history of the Sri Lanka Air Force in the Island.
