Operational Performance Development Module for Administrative Regiment Officers

Operational Performance Development Module 06/2013 for ten (10) Admin Regiment Officers in the rank of Squadron Leader was conducted at SLAF Station Diyatalawa from 12th to 16th August 2013 in order to enhance their analytical and operational briefing capabilities to perform operational staff duties effectively.
The course was conducted through the exercise “Green Rock Apes” (Designed with a given narrative); the participants were also involved in TEWT (Tactical Exercise Without Troops) and trained on operational planning, troop leading procedure, military map marking, leadership, analytical thinking combined with a series of model briefings. Staff Officer Ground Operation-1 Air Cdre KFR Fernando observed final exercise briefings and provided expert advices for the benefit of the Regiment Officers.
The course consisted of lectures, series of briefings and exercises to enhance the Student Officers’ knowledge and skills. The course was conducted by the Officer Commanding Training Wg Cdr SPVK Senadheera and Chief Instructor Officer Training Sqn Ldr RAC Ranasinghe under the supervision of the Commanding Officer Group Captain WWPD Fernando. Finally, All officers attended the course had the opportunity of taking part in a mock dining in night.
