The Commander of the Sri Lanka Army Lieutenant General Daya Rathnayake was accorded a Guard of Honour during his first Official visit to Sri Lanka Air Force Headquarters this morning (17th September 2013).



The Army Chief was received upon arrival, by the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama and Air Cdre DJC Weerakoon the Commanding Officer SLAF Station Colombo and thereafter was afforded a Guard of Honour which was conferred by the Colour Squadron of the SLAF. The Guard of Honour was commanded by Flight Lieutenant OWKP Owitipana.

Mementos were exchanged between two Commanders at the Commander’s Board Room. The Chief of Staff and the Board of Management of SLAF also joined the Commander at the Board Room to greet the new Army Chief.
