“Guwan Hamuda Papedi Sawariya 2014” was held for the 15th consecutive year, coinciding with the 63rd Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force. The men’s race was held on 20th, 21st and 23rd March 2014  in 3 stages. Cyclist from all around the country including the North and the East participated in this race covering a total distance 410Km. Buddika Warnakulasooriya of the Air Force won the overall Championship while Madushanka Perera of the Air Force won 2nd place.  The team event was won by Sri Lanka Air Force A team.

In the women’s race held on 23rd March 2014 from Jaffna - Duraiappa Grounds,  Niluka Shyamali of the DMCC came in 1st and UD Sriyalatha of the SL Navy 2nd. The team event was won by the Mixed team.

The presentation ceremony was held at the Central College Grounds at Jaffna and the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal KA  Gunatilleke graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest. The Mayor of Jaffna attended as the Guest of Honour, while the Chief of Staff, Air Vice Marshal GP Bulathsinghala, members from the Air Force Board of Management, the Chairman, SLAF Cycling, Air Cdre Sumangala Dias, representatives from the main sponsors LG Abans and the media partner Rupavahini were also present at the presentation ceremony.
