SLAF cycle team comprising 6 cyclists, namely LAC Dain Nugera, LAC Samantha Lakmal, LAC Dinesh Danushka, LAC Madusanka Perera,  AC Wajira Pushpakumara and AC Ashen Tharaka, competed the Criterium cycle race 2014 organized by the Indian Air Force.  LAC Dinesh Danushka secured the 1st place and LAC Madusanka the 3rd, beating experienced Indian cyclist during the 100 kilometer race.

Secretary, SLAF Cycling,  Group Captain Kithsiri Leelarathna, Manager, Flight Sergeant Ruwan Kumara and coach Corporal Balachandra Henri also participated.
