Sri Lanka Air Force won the Defence Services Netball Championship 2014 defeating  SL Army  by 47 points to  44 yesterday (11th April 2014) at the Rathnawali  Indoor Stadium, Gampaha.

In a thrilling encounter both teams fought neck and neck. Aircraft woman Nilushi of SLAF was crowned "Netball Queen" whilst Lance Corporal Jayaweera of SL Army  and Sergeant Thushanthi  of SLAF were adjudged  the Best Shooter and Best Centre Court Player respectively.

Director General Civil Engineering of SL Navy Rear Admiral W.S. Jayasinghe graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
