General Xu Qiliang, now in Sri Lanka, paid his obeisance to the sacred Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy yesterday morning (15th May 2014) together with other members of his delegation. The delegation arrived in Kandy from China Bay on two SLAF Mi 17 Helicopters. On arrival they were received by the Commanding Officer SLAF Station Sigiriya, Wing Commander CP Gunatileke and were conducted to the sacred temple for veneration.

Afterwards, the delegation visited SLAF Base Katunayake.They were received by the Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayake, Air Commodore Sudarshana Pathirana.The guests were then conducted to No. 5 Jet Squadron.
