So reads the plaque presented to SLAF Base Katunayake recently by the Dengue Control Unit of the Ministry of Health, for the active role played by the Air Force in the Dengue Control Programme conducted and concluded recently. 

The SLAF was entrusted with the Gampaha district and personnel representing the entire SLAF engaged in house to house visits, cleaning operations and in identifying breeding places of mosquitos.
