The 67th Independence Day parade, where Sri Lanka commemorates the successful outcome fo the valiant struggle for freedom from colonial powers, will take place at the Sri Jayawardenapura Parliament grounds on 4 February 2015

This year too, the Air Force will participate in the ceremonial parade.  33 Officers and 350 Airmen are expected to join the parade with the SLAF parade Band comprising 140 Airmen and 2 officers to salute the President.

A rehearsals for the parade was held this morning, 31 January.  The Chief of Staff of the Air Force Air Vice Marshal Gagan  Bulathsinhala inspected the rehearsals.
