The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Gagan Bulathsinghala, paid homage to the Sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, Anuradhapura on 28 June 2015 seeking blessings on his new appointment.
 
The Commander also worshiped Ruwanweli Seya and Isurumuniya Viharaya, and called on the Chief Incumbent of the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi Ven. Pallegama Sirinivasa Nayaka Thero, Chief Incumbent of Ruwanweli Maha Seya Ven. Pallegama Hemarathana Nayaka Thero and Chief Incumbent of Isurumuniya Viharaya Ven.  Mathawa Sri Sumangala Nayaka Thero.

Air Marshal Bulathsinghala was accompanied by his family members and several SLAF personnel.
