The “Guwan Hamuda Papedi Sawariya-2010” in collaboration with FM Derana sponsored by Singer (Sri Lanka) Pvt Ltd and co-sponsored by Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation, is scheduled to be commenced on the 08th March 2010 to cammemorate  59th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force.

A special press conference was held at Air Force Headquarters auditorium to inform the press of the event and to provide publicity for sponsors.
 
The press conference was chaired by Air Vice Marshall NH Gunaratne the chairman of Sri Lanka Air Force cycling and was attended by Mr. Kuma Samarasinghe of Singer Sri Lanka, Dr. Nalaka Godahewa of Sri Lanka Insurance, Mr. Lasith Sooriyabandara of FM Derana, Mr. Nishantha Piyasena of Cycling Federation of Sri Lanka, Group Captain Sujeewan Senaratna the Secretary of Air Force Cycling, Group captain Roshan Biyanwila Secretary to the Air Force Sport Council were also present.
