The badge awarding parade of No. 30 Officers’, No. 04 Lady Officers’, No. 45 Airmen, No. 07 Airwomen and No. 21 Navy personnel Basic EOD Course was held at SLAF Station Palavi on 23rd December 2015. A total of 49 personnel which comprised five SLAF Officers, two Naval Officers and thirty four Airmen, four Airwomen and four Sailors from the Sri Lanka Navy took part in this course which was conducted over a period of over five months.
 
Flying Officer SMSSA Irugalbandara and Leading Aircraftman Ariyapala GMGA were adjudged the Best EOD Officer and Best EOD Airman of the courses respectively. The Commanding Officer of EOD Training School, Squadron Leader Prasanna Weerasinghe graced the occasion as the chief guest while Station Officers and Airmen were also present to witness the event.
