SLAF Station Colombo emerged both men's and women's champions at the Inter Unit Karate Championship 2017 concluded on 28 June 2017 at the AFHMC, Thummulla.

SLAF Trade Training School Ekala secured the runners up in the men's and women's categories.

Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.Board of Management of the SLAF, Chairman SLAF Karate Air Commodore MDJ Wasage, Officers and Other ranks also witnessed the event.
