Annual Commander's Inspection at SLAF Base Ratmalana 2017

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy, conducted the annual AOC's inspection at SLAF Base Ratmalana today (22 September 2017).
The Commander reviewed the AOC’s parade, commanded by the Base Commander, Air Commodore RP Liyanagamage. Certificates of commendation were awarded during the parade to a Warrant Officer, 09 SNCOs and 01 Corporal for their meritorious contributions to the Base in particular and to the Air Force in general.
During the course of the inspection the Commander visited all areas of the Base and declared open the newly constructed Base Headquarters building complex.
Concluding the AOC’s inspection, the Commander addressed all ranks including the civilian personnel and commended their hard work to uplift the standards of the Base. He emphasized the need to contribute their best to the Air Force as well as to the motherland at all times.
