No 2 L & R Wing Celebrates its 4th Anniversary

No. 2 Leisure and Recreation Wing at Sri Lanka Air Force Base Ratmalana also known as the Eagles’ Lakeside Banquet and Convention Hall (ELB&CH) Attidiya proudly celebrated its 4th Formation Day under the auspices of the Commanding Officer Group Captain SR Udakumbura on 12th November 2017.

An all-night pirith chanting ceremony was held on 12th November 2017 and an almsgiving was accorded to the Venerable Maha Sangha on Monday (13th November 2017) at the Banquet Hall. Apart from the staff of ELB&CH, the Acting Base Commander,SLAF Ratmalana, Group Captain Nihal Jayasinghe, Officers, other ranks, civilian staff and families of SLAF Base Rathmalana participated in the all night pirith chanting ceremony and the almsgiving.  

Further, a motivational lecture was organized and conducted by Senior Lecturer and Professional Trainer, famous actor “Wilson Gunaratne” for all staff to enhance their knowledge on the customer care services related to the hospitality industry on 14th November 2017.

The formation day celebratios concluded with a tree planting campaign at the site of ELB&CH and a day outing for all staff was organized to the “Laya Beach Resort” - Wadduwa on 14th November where a soft ball cricket tournament was organized aiming to build up team work among the staff.
