The Graduation Ceremony of No 55 Junior Command and Staff Course was held at the Astra Hall at Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay on the 22nd of November 2017.

Director Logistics of Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Vice Marshal HMSKB Kotakadeniya graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest. The Indian Defence Attaché and delegates from SL Army and the Navy participated in the event as distinguished guests.
 
The ceremony marked the end of the 14-week course attended by a total of 30 officers in the ranks of Squadron Leader and Flight Lieutenant. 24 officers from the Sri Lanka Air Force, 02 officers in the rank of Captain from the Sri Lanka Army, one officer in the rank of Lieutenant Commander from the Sri Lanka Navy and one officer each from the Bangladesh Air Force, Indian Air Force and from Nepal Army.

The Junior Command and Staff Course is accredited to the Kothalawala Defence University and the Officers who fulfill the required criteria will be conferred with a Post Graduate Diploma in Defence Management.
