The third house constructed under the "Commander's Housing Project" by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit (SVU) was handed over to spouse of late Air Commodore HBDJ Karunarathna. The House Warming Ceremony was held under the patronage of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy and the Chairperson of the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Anoma Jayampathy at Kasbewa today (23 April 2018).

This project was funded by the SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and construction was carried out by Civil Engineering Wing and SLAF Station Colombo. Overall project was completed under the supervision of the Directorate of Civil Engineering.

Director Civil Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Ruchira Samarasinghe, Commanding Officer SLAF Station Colombo, Air Commodore Waruna Gunawardana, Officers, other ranks and representatives from SVU were also present for the ceremony.
