Flight Sergeant Samarasinghe of the Sri Lanka Air Force Regiment  passed a milestone yesterday (01st July 2010) by making his 500th Parachute jump at SLAF Ampara to became only  the 2nd Sri Lankan  reach this milestone in Sri Lanka’s Parachuting History.

Flight Sergeant Samarasinghe completed his Basic Parachute course and Sky Divers course in 2001 and 2005 respectively at the Indian Air Force Parachute School in Agra.

Presently he is an instructor and also the School Warrant Officer of the SLAF Parachute Training School based Katunayaka.
