Mini Air Tattoo Weerawila Concludes Amidst Enormous Crowds

A record crowd of over 84,500 people enjoyed the Mini Air Tattoo which came to an end at Weerawila. The final day of the Tattoo saw aerobatic flying displays by the PT-6 aircraft, Fire Drills, Mock Attacks, Air Dog Shows and the final musical extravaganza which featured Purple Range. The Air Force Dancing Troop added even more glamor to the musical extravaganza.

Among the guests in attendance at the Mini Air Tattoo was the Chief Organizer of the Mini Air Tattoo, Air Vice Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, the Director of Air Operations of the SLAF. Once again due to the unprecedentedly large crowd the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy had instructed to organizers to continue the musical evening until midnight.

Purple Range together with the Air Force Dancing Troop mesmerised the enormous crowd with their tunes and moves. With the conclusion of the Mini Air Tattoo, an estimated crowd of over 135,000 people have witnessed the exhibition and during the three day period making the Mini Air Tattoo at Weerawila a resounding success.
