Inter Unit Athletic Championship – 2010

Sri Lanka Air Force station Colombo became the Inter unit Athletic Champions of 2010 comfortably scoring 301.5 points yesterday at SLAF Base Katunayaka. SLAF station Colombo won the Championship for the second consecutive year.
SLAF BIA and SLAF Base Katunayaka secured the 2nd and 3rd places respectively scoring 205 and 139 points.
Corporal Vijayabahu of SLAF Station Ekala and Air Women Saparamadu of SLAF BIA won the best athletes awards for men and women respectively.
Director Logistic, Air Commodore TMPD Thennakoon graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and also the Base Commander SLAF Base Katunayaka Air Commodore Ranil Gurusinghe, were present. The event was organized under the patronage of Wing Commander Deepal Munasinghe Chairman SLAF Athletics.
