Change of Command at SLAF Station Diyatalawa

Air Commodore Lal Perera handed over the Command of Sri Lanka Air Force Station Diyatalawa to Group Captain Lanka Kodippili on 26th July 2010.

Air Commodore Lal Perera served as the Commanding officer of this important Air Force Station from 03rd July 2006 to 26th July 2010 and had initiated many projects to enhance the efficiency of the station and the living standards of personnel serving there, during his tenure.

Group Captain Lanka Kodippili relinquished the post of Ground Operation I at Air Force Headquarters Colombo to take over Command of the SLAF's primary ground combat training station located in hill.

The traditional "handing over taking over" parade was commanded by Wing Commander Anuruddha Wijesiriwardana.

The renovated and upgraded Gunner Instructors Lecture Hall and Instructors Rest Room was opened by Air Commodore Lal Perera prior to his departure.
