The Seva Vanitha Unit of Sri Lanka Air Force organized a special event for the “World Children’s Day-2019” on 5th October 2019 at Baticaloa in liaison with Commanding officer SLAF Station Baticaloa. The programme was held under the guidance of the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Sumangala Dias and the Chairperson of Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Mayuri Prabhavi Dias.

Director Aeronautical Engineering Air Vice Marshal Dushyantha Rathnayake and Mrs Maliga Rathnayake graced the event as chief guest. This programme was held with the participation of children from the Zion Church, Baticaloa and children from SLAF pre school Baticaloa.

Moreover, a special gift pack was presented for all the children and also refreshments were served among them. Game zone, bouncy castles and many more entertaining events were available for the children who participated for the event.

Commanding officer, officers, airmen of SLAF Station Baticaloa and staff of the Seva Vanitha Unit were present at the event to spend time with the children.
