The Chief of Defence Staff and the Commander of the Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Roshan Goonetileke, conducted his Annual  Inspection of SLAF Station Mirigama this morning (30th August 2010).


The Commanding Officer, SLAF Station Mirigama Group Captain Janaka Karunaratna welcomed the Commander to the station premises through a ceremonial street lining.

During the visit, the Commander declared open the newly built  Airmen Mess and joined the Officers and men of the Station for an all ranks lunch at the same place.  


The No 04 Air Defence Radar Squadron at Sri Lanka Air Force Mirigama was established as a part of the National Air Defence System of Sri Lanka.
