SLAF Station Palavi organized a kite flying competition among its personnel on 11 September 2010 .  All Officers, airmen and civilians from all sections participated in this event to make it a success. 01st prize was awarded to Air Craftman  Chaturanga of  the Ground Defence Section for the best and also the biggest kite of the event (10 ft height and 08ft width).


 The Acting Commanding Officer Squadron Leader JMCR Jayasundara graced the event as the chief guest.
