Sri Lanka Army and the Sri Lanka Air force won the much awaited Defence Services Games Athletic men and women events respectively. The meet was held during 13th, 14th and 15th September 2010 at the Sugathadasa Stadium.
 
Sergeant Mendis TKL of the Army (800 M – 1.49.78) and Corporal Chandrika Rasnayaka of Sri Lanka Air Force (200 M- 24.26 Sec) were adjudged as the Best Male and Female Performers of the meet.
