The annual Sri Lanka Air Force inter unit Kabadi tournament was held at the katunayake Gymnasium on 13 and 14 August 2009. This is an annual event aimed at selecting potential players to represent the Air Force at national as well as international levels. The finals too were worked out at the same venue, in which SLAF Base China bay beat SLAF BIA with the final score reading as 47-39. Director Inspection and Safety Air Vice Marshal EGJP De SilvaUSP, M.Sc(Def. & Strat. Studies), psc was invited as the chief guest for this event.
