Intelligence personnel of Sri Lanka Air Force Base in Vavuniya recovered a cache of weapons in the general area of Wellamulliwaikkal on Friday 18 September.

The recoveries which included a damaged  T-56 weapon and over 600 hundred rounds of ammunition were done under the direction of the Base Commander of SLAF Vavuniya.









Following are the recovered items:

01- T-56 (Mark-1 in Damaged )

01- T-56 Magazine  

01- RPG Bomb

02- Hand grenades

693 rounds - MPMG ammo.

473 rounds - 5.56 mm ammo.

01- Non-electric firing device
