The Defence Services Rowing Championships – 2010 was successfully concluded on the waters of the Bolgoda Lake on 21st September 2010.

This event created history in Sri Lankan Rowing as it was the first ever rowing regatta conducted exclusively between the Armed Forces. The event was competed between the Sri Lanka Air Force and the Sri Lanka Navy Rowing teams and was held as a Trial event of the 6th Defence Services Games – 2010.

 The event was keenly contested with much rivalry and sportsmanship between the Oarsmen of the Air Force and Navy, who just ten days back, battled each other on the same waters for supremacy at the 26th National Rowing Championships. The Sri Lanka Air Force however, proved to be the better of the two teams and won the ‘DEFENCE SERVICES GAMES CHALLENGE TROPHY FOR ROWING’ gaining 107 point against the Navy’s 102 points.
