The Handing Over/Taking Over Parade of SLAF Base Hingurakgoda was held today (26 July 2021) where the outgoing Base Commander, Group Captain SD Jayaweera RWP and Bar, RSP and two Bars, USP, MSc (MOA), BSc (Def Stu), psc, qfi handed over command to Group Captain KAPS Kuruwita 'MSc (Strat Stu), 'fawc'.

The new Base Commander, Group Captain Kuruwita held the appointment of Commanding Officer, SLAF Station Mirigama before being appointed to command SLAF Base Hingurakgoda. The outgoing Base Commander, Group Captain Jayaweera will be proceeding for a training course subsequently.
