On the directives given by Ministry of Defence, the SLAF has been assigned to place the Finial on the Sandahiru Seya at Anuradhapura by undertaking an underslung operation in a Bell 412 helicopter.With this target in mind, underslung operation rehearsals commenced yesterday (16 October 21) at the Sandahiru Seya Site in Anuradhapura.

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana visited Anuradhapura today (17 October 21) to witness the rehearsals which were carried out at the location.The Commander also provided guidance to the pilots carrying out the rehearsals as well. Further, this mission has been undertaken by No.04 Helicopter Squadron at SLAF Base Ratmalana.
