The closing ceremony of 12th National archery championship was held on 19th and 20th November  2011 at the Kettarama Stadium in Colombo. The occasion was graced by  Mrs Ranjani Jayakodi (Director General - Ministry of sports and public recreation in Sri Lanka). The highlight of the championship was the performance of SLAF archers who were able to secure two Gold, one Silver and two Bronze with a total of thirteen awards.

AW/1656  Sgt Dissanayaka KMIK   , AW/01464 AC Salgadu DLP, AW/01465 AC Mallika YM  brought distinction to the SLAF by winning the Gold Medals in the      womens’  open team event after breaking a ten year record held by the Colombo Archery Club.
