Community Project for Underprivileged Children

A community project was conducted at Chinabay on 2nd December 2011 with a view to assist children of underprivileged schools in the vicinity of SLAF Academy Chinabay.
This was organized under the patronage of the Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit on a request made by the Commandant SLAF Academy Chinabay.
Three needy schools were identified and arrangements were made to provide stationary items for 110 students of Sidhartha Vidyalaya, Al Madeena Vidyalayam and Furukan Vidyalayam. In addition a PA system was donated to Siddhartha Vidyalaya
Mrs. Neelika Abeywickrema, Chairperson of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit and several members of SLAF SVU, Asst Coordinator SLAF SVU Sqn Ldr KG Dassanayake Acting Commandant Gp Capt P Ranasinghe and the Officers of SLAF Academy Chinabay participated in the function.
