Formation Day of No 3 ADRS –SLAF Academy China Bay

No 3 ADRS of SLAF Academy China Bay celebrated its 5th formation anniversary on 01 February 2012 giving prominence to religious observances. An eventful day of social, religious and recreational activities was organized on day prior to the formation day in “Vellamanal” area where the Radar squadron is located with a view to promote public interrelationship.
A well responded Medical and Dental campaigns were conducted at T/Al Azhar Maha Vidyalaya and this was followed by a Shramadana campaign and a friendly cricket match between the Staff of the Squadron and old boys of the school at the same venue.
Coinciding the formation day , the Commandant of SLAF Academy China Bay Air Commodore SK Pathirana, donated a collection of sports equipment to the blooming cricketers of T/Al Azhar Maha Vidyalaya . The event was graced with the contribution of the Commanding Officer of No.3 ADRS , Squadron Leader KC Serasinghe and the staff of the Squadron.
