ABOUT THE AIRCRAFT GROUND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

Description          

AGSE mechanics are responsible for maintaining and ensuring the operational readiness of all ground support equipment required for aircraft operations. Their role directly supports flight operations by ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing operational delays.

Duties and responsibilities:

  1. Conducting inspections and servicing of ground support equipment.
  2. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
  3. Ensuring the availability of serviceable equipment for aircraft operations.
  4. Maintaining maintenance logs and technical records.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Nationality Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka
Age Not less than 18 years and not more than 22 years as at 01 August 2026.

Weight / BMI Male: 17 < BMI < 26
Chest (Male) 32 Inches
Color Vision CP2
Visual Acuity 6/6 each eye (without spectacles and lenses)
GCE O/L REQUIREMENTS
Passes in 06 subjects at the GCE (O/L) Examination in not more than two sittings including Simple (S) passes in Sinhala / Tamil, Mathematics / Science.
or
Pearson Edexcel International General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) exam or Cambridge International Ordinary Level exams: Passes in 06 subjects in not more than two sittings. Passes are compulsory for English, all Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) or Mathematics.
and
Possession of NVQ Level qualification / Training from a Technical college or reputed institute and work experience in relevant fields will be an added advantage.
