Description about Physical Training Instructor
The Physical Training Instructor (PTI) is a pivotal appointment within the Sri Lanka Air Force, responsible for ensuring the physical well-being, discipline, and combat readiness of all service personnel. The primary objective is to maintain a force that is physically resilient and prepared for any operational requirement.
Duties and responsibilities
(1) Responsible for enhancing and maintaining the physical fitness standards of all Air Force service personnel to ensure operational efficiency.
(2) Conducting and supervising daily Physical Training (PT) sessions.
(3) Planning, coordinating, and executing Air Force sports meets and various inter-unit sporting events.
(4) Management and supervision of gymnasiums, ensuring the high standard and serviceability of sports equipment.
(5) Instructing recruits on basic military physical conditioning programs.
