a. About D of CE Tradesmen.

Civil Engineering Tradesmen in the SLAF handle construction, maintenance and repair of buildings, infrastructure and utilities. D of CE Trades personnel ensure Base operational readiness civil engineering support.

b. Duties and Responsibilities.

Construction and maintenance of buildings, roads, airfields and drainage systems. Installation, repair and maintenance of electrical wiring and fittings
Installation and maintenance of water supply and sanitation systems.
Preparation of technical drawings and site plans for construction projects.
Operation and maintenance of construction plants and machinery.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and technical specifications.

c. Specialized Areas.

Building construction and structural works.
Electrical installations, power distribution
water supply, drainage and plumbing systems.
Architectural and structural drawings using CAD software.
Heavy plant operation: excavators, loaders, graders
Airfield pavement maintenance.

Passes in Six (06) subjects, including English, at the Pearson Excel international general certificated of secondary education (IGCSE) Examination the Cambridge international Ordinary Level examination, in not more than two sitting.
and
National Certificate in Quantity Surveying from Government Technical Colleges or approved equivalent qualification (National Vocational Qualification/ International Vocational Qualification).
