Description

Surface technicians are responsible for surface finishing, painting, and upholstery work related to aircraft, vehicles, and technical equipment. Their role contributes to both protection and aesthetic maintenance of SLAF assets.

Duties and responsibilities

Performing aircraft and vehicle surface finishing and painting.
Repairing and manufacturing covers, upholstery, and seating.
Ensuring protective coatings meet required standards.

GCE O/L REQUIREMENTS

Passes in 06 subjects at the GCE (O/L) Examination in not more than two sittings including Simple (S) passes in Sinhala / Tamil, Mathematics / Science.
or
Pearson Edexcel International General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) exam or Cambridge International Ordinary Level exams: Passes in 06 subjects in not more than two sittings. Passes are compulsory for English, all Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) or Mathematics.
and
Possession of NVQ Level qualification / Training from a Technical college or reputed institute and work experience in relevant fields will be an added advantage.
