Description
Airmen and Airwomen in the Operation Ground Trade of the Sir Lanka Air Force serve as an essential component in ensuring the security, displine and operational readiness of Air Force establishments. They are primarily responsible for Air Base Security and the execution of ground defence operations, safeguarding critical assets, personnel and infrastructure against potential threats.
These personnel are rigorously trained in weapon handling and are proficient in the use of a variety of arms and defensive systems. Their duties require a high level of alertness, tactical awareness and the ability to respond effectively in both routine and emergency situations. In addition to their operational responsibilities, they play a key role in imparting training to fellow members, thereby maintaining and enhancing the overall capability of the force.
Through their conduct professionalism, and commitment to duty, they uphold the standards and values of the Sri Lanka Air Force. Their dedication, teamwork and resilience contribute significantly to the effective functioning and security of the organization.
